The WLOR meets under Peripatetic Charter at various Lodge Halls in the Geyserland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty Districts on the 3rd Tuesday of March, May, July, September and November at 7:30pm.

(Installation in March at the Rotorua Freemasons Centre)

A cordial Invitation to the Masters and Brethren of all Lodges to attend our meetings is extended.

The Waikato Lodge of Research No. 445 was Constituted and Dedicated on 30th August 1980.

W Bro E Paterson was installed into the chair of Master of The Waikato Lodge of Research No 445 on Tuesday 20th March 2011 by the District Grand Master, VW Bro K Allen, KL and Grand Lodge Officers of Geyserland District No 11.


2012 ANZMRC Conference

Planning is underway for the 2012 ANZMRC Conference in Wellington, New Zealand, Thursday 15 to Sunday18 November 2012. The conference will be combined with the Centennial Celebration of the Research Lodge of Wellington No. 194.

Presentation of Papers

Any member desirous of presenting a paper to our Lodge please let the Master know of your intentions. Papers for presentation should be given to the Secretary who will hand them to qualified members to preview prior to presentation. Lodge By-Law 7(b).

All members are encouraged to make comment on presented papers, this can either be verbal at our meetings, or may be submitted in writing to the secretary for inclusion in our transactions.

A brother was recently returning from a Lodge of Research meeting when he was pulled over at 2:30 in the morning for a routine check. "Where are you going, Sir?" asked the Officer. "To a lecture on Freemasonry" replied the driver. "And who exactly gives lectures on Freemasonry at two-thirty in the morning?" retorted the Officer in disbelief. "My wife" was the prompt reply.

2010 ANZMRC Conference

Four members of our Research Lodge, W Bro C Miller, PG Std B & PM,  RW Bro I J Nathan, PGW & PM, W Bro D T Speedy, PM and Bro K Carroll attended the 2010 ANZMRC (Australian and New Zealand Masonic Research Council) in Mandurah, WA, Australia from 3 - 6 September 2010, as well as our other "ex officio" member - RW Bro Peter Verrall, a foundation member of the Waikato Lodge of Research who now resides in Mandurah.

They were joined by the Geyserland District Grand Master Elect, W Bro K Allen, PGBB - who presented a paper at the Conference - and nine other Brethren of Research Lodges around New Zealand, as well as their partners and family members.
