Master's MessageDear Ladies and Brethren Here we are in May and this is my last newsletter. We had a good evening at the Oxford Royal Hotel, our last harmony meeting for our Lodge, but we must try and get together in the future. May 28 is Geyserland Installation, where I am a presenting officer and will be presenting the Ceremonial Gavels to the Lodge. You will see from the visits I am trying to do as many as possible before we close and would like some company if anyone is available. Our closing is going quite smoothly to date and my thanks to those that have helped. It is with sadness that we have to say goodbye but Putaruru is a small town and we are all very good friends so I am sure we will still keep in touch Fraternally Lodge NoticesWe meet at our Lodge Rooms in Overdale Street, Putaruru on the 1st Thursday of each Month at 7:30 pm. Lodge NewsIt is with regret that the Master and Officers of Lodge Putaruru-Tirau No 401 announce that the Lodge will be handing in its Charter to the Grand Lodge of New Zealand on Thursday 7th June 2012. Rising costs and an ageing membership are cited as the reasons for the decision, with most members choosing to remain in the Craft and transferring to other Lodges in the District. Congratulations to W Bro F Wedzinga, PM, on his appointment from November as District Grand Steward, 2010 - 2013. The Installation of the chair of Master of Lodge Putaruru-Tirau No 401 took place on Thursday 2nd September 2010. The working was carried out by V W Bro T A Becker, District Grand Master and Grand Lodge Officers of Geyserland District No 11. Thursday the 5th of August was a social ceremony for us, to celebrate the Master's, W Bro F Wedzinga, last night in Office for 2009-2010. The Lodge was opened and closed then we progressed to the Oxford Hotel, Tirau, for dinner with our Ladies. Visitors were received at the Hotel and an excellent evening was had by all.
