Master's MessageBrethren, Due to the immediate resignation of the Master Elect, the installation on 9th June did not proceed. A shorter meeting took take place at 7:00pm, at Tokoroa. There was be no official Grand Lodge visit, however the District Grand Master, VW Bro Kevin Allen, was in attendance (informally).
A very warm welcome is extended to all attached and unattached brethren and those interested in Freemasonry. Read more...Lodge Acacia No. 472 HistoryAcacia Lodge No 472 is the newest Lodge under the auspices of the Grand Lodge of Antient Free and Accepted Masons of New Zealand. It was Constituted and Dedicated at the Tokoroa Masonic Hall on Saturday 26th June 2010 by M W Bro S Barker, Grand Master assisted by Grand Lodge Officers of Freemasons New Zealand. The Grand Master accompanied by Officers of Grand Lodge entered and opened the Lodge. Ladies and Visitors were admitted and after the Grand Master ascertained from the Grand Secretary that the proceedings for a new Lodge were in order, the Petitioning Members were marshalled for the reading of the Petition and Charter by V W Bro L Milton, G Sec. W Bro P Kimber, PGS, was installed in the inaugural chair of Master of Acacia Lodge No 472. A very moving experience was felt by all and it was a privilege to observe the culmination of many months, if not years, of dedication by Members of Geyserland District No 11 and Grand Lodge, resulting in the Constitution and Dedication of Lodga Acacia No 472. The Grand Master handed over the Lodge to VW Bro T A Becker, Geyserland District Grand Master and then the Grand Master, Officers of Grand Lodge, Ladies and Brethren retired. An evening of celebration followed, at the Tokoroa Working Men's Club, with an excellent meal and companionship both forging and cementing relationships and friendships. The July, August and September 2010 meetings of Acacia Lodge were held at the Tokoroa Masonic Hall. From October 2010, meetings will be held at the Taupo Cosmopolitan Club. Acacia Lodge is currently in dormancy.
